不测试拼写，词汇，语法的记忆。
考试包括５篇不同类型的散文，后跟有选择题。

２． Maths
    数学考试有６０个问题，６０分钟。主要测试学生读完１１年级后所应掌握的知识。
测试形式是选择题。

    考生应该掌握基本公式和算术技巧。不要求知道复杂公式和复杂运算。

3. Reading   
    阅读部分 35 分钟 ,40 个问题 . ，用来测试阅读理解能力。要求考试者读几篇文章，并回答问题：
 问题会考查以下技巧：
* determine main ideas找出文章大意
* locate and interpret significant details寻找并解释关键细节
* understand sequences of events理解事件顺序
* make comparisons做比较
* comprehend cause-effect relationships   理解起因 - 结果的关系
* determine the meaning of context-dependent words, phrases, and statements
* 根据文章上下文猜测单词，短语，句子的意思
* draw generalizations 得出一般结论
* analyze the author's or narrator's voice and method
* 分析作者或叙述者的语气和写作方法

测试文章包括以下领域：社会科学，自然科学，小说，以及人类学

    每篇文章后附有一定的选择题。这些题目并不测试文章以外死记硬背的知识，单独的词汇或逻辑，而是测试应试者在阅读一系列学科领域时要用到的补充，论证技巧。

4. Science  
    科学考试４０个问题，３５分钟。考察自然科学要求的能力：解释，分析，评价，推理以及如何解决问题。

* 数据图象表达（曲线图，表格、其他示意图）
* research summaries (descriptions of several related experiments)
* 研究总结（描述相关实验）
* conflicting viewpoints (expressions of several related hypotheses or views that are inconsistent with one another)
* 冲突性观点（几个相关而有彼此矛盾的假设或公式）
The questions require you to: 问题要求：
* recognize and understand the basic features of, and concepts related to, the provided information
* 辨认并理解所给信息的特点和概念
* examine critically the relationship between the information provided and the conclusions drawn or hypotheses developed
* 严密验证所给信息以及得出结论或者假设的关系
* generalize from given information and draw conclusions, gain new information, or make predictions
* 从所给信息总结，得出结论或者预测

5. Writing
    写作考试３０分钟，考查写作技巧――主要是考查高中英语课程和大学起点课程强调的写作技巧。
写作会给一篇小文章，给定一个议题，并有两种观点。你可以任选一个，或者提出自己的观点。写作分数不会受所选观点的影响。
